New RunKeeper Features – We Thought You Should Know!

We’ve been so busy adding new features lately, we almost forgot to keep you posted on all of these changes as they are occurring!

WHAT IS NEW

Manually map activities on the website
You can now finally input activities that were done without an iPhone on the website!  Whether it is a treadmill run that you want to enter the stats for, or a mapped route that you did outside without your phone, now we can help!  In addition to creating new activites, this can also be used to edit activites that had tracking errors.  MUCH more robust editing is coming soon as well!

Find other users in your local area
We received a ton of requests from you to locate Street Team members in your local areas.  We heard you loud and clear, and you can now find other RunKeeper users in your local area to add to your Street Team!  To do so, select your own location in the RunKeeper website settings.  Then go to the Street Team tab, and in the bottom left will be a list of other RunKeeper users in your local area!

Write comments on other users’ activities

Now you can comment on each others’ public activities on the website.  Check out one of my recent runs and scroll down to see these in action! http://bit.ly/au4fWD

Enter more detailed info in your user profile
- Specify your geographic location
- Tag yourself as a runner, cyclist, triathlete, etc.
- Add links to your twitter and Facebook profiles
- Let people know what your fitness goal is (if any)

You can set each of these up in the website settings.  See http://runkeeper.com/user/jason for an example!

Many more great improvements in the works!  We’re really starting to hit our stride :-)
