RunKeeper Android users: will you be our Valentine?
Posted on February 7, 2013 at 9:00 AM -
This Valentine’s season, we’re throwing a whole lotta love your way, Android users. We are pleased to announce the all-new RunKeeper 3.0 for Android!
It includes a brand new user interface, complete with a simpler, more inviting design, and lots of new features that you’ve long been asking for! This new version was built by some serious in-house Phandroids on the RunKeeper team (with Android’s design guidelines in mind), and will provide a solid foundation to build upon as we continue to add new features and improve what we’ve got.
New in this release:
- Complete visual redesign from the ground up with Android design guidelines and best practices in mind
- Shows your pace per mile/km or workout interval throughout the activity (there was some serious celebration about this one around the office)
- Central place in the app to view your goal progress, personal records, and activity tally over time
Audio cue improvements
- More robust audio cues
- The ability to schedule your next workout when you finish the last one, to provide an extra layer of accountability to make sure you get out there when you should
We hope you enjoy this gift from the RunKeeper team! It was truly a labor of love, and sets the table for us to bring lots of additional improvements to the RunKeeper Android experience in 2013.
