What is RunKeeper?
RunKeeper is the personal trainer for your pocket. Track your running, walking or biking activities with our mobile app (iPhone and Android), or log in to the website to get further insight into how you're doing against yourself or your friends.
It’s your lucky day, beloved RunKeeper users, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re on iPhone or Android. We’ve got a brand new RunKeeper 3.3 release live today for all! Both apps come with brand new support for the Pebble smart watch, which rocked Kickstarter last year. We know many of you have been eager for the watch to be able to display your RunKeeper stats while on the go, so we’re excited to get this in your hands.
And take a look below for the more new features specific to each operating system. There are lots of goodies in there!
Weight & indoor activity entry We’ve made it much easier and simpler to enter non-GPS workouts or your weight, right into the app. (So those treadmill runs can count towards your goals!) There’s even a visualization of how your weight is progressing over time.
Widgets Starting and stopping a RunKeeper activity is easier than ever with new home screen and lock screen widgets. No need to fire up the full app to access the buttons you use the most.
We recently announced that we’re taking a big step forward in making RunKeeper even more accessible for our passionate user base around the world.
And now, our iPhone app is available in six new languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese. We’re excited to bring all that good fitness guidance and motivation to more and more people around the globe! If your native language isn’t on this initial list, let us know in the comments! We’re only getting started! This 3.3. app update also ensures that the features we added in our last release are running nice and smoothly.
Be sure to download the new updates and get moving. And do let us know what you think.
