What do you do after your run?
Stretching, I know. And of course, this is what we (usually) do after our community runs too.
But how about after that?
Well, for a couple of months, we just said our goodbyes to each other and went home to analyze our running stats or do whatever. Recently, however, the time between taking on and off our shoes has substantially increased, due to a very nice tea house close by.
Just in a few weeks, my after-stretch question, “is anyone in the mood to drink a tea?” turned into, “who will come with us to drink a tea?”
Most probably, the chilly mid-autumn weather has also something to do with the increasing popularity of this after-run happening. Nonetheless, half a liter of hot tea requires a decent amount of time, which provides a great opportunity to get to know each other better, and to discuss anything of joint interest, from running related events and movies to mind-blowing personal life stories. And I believe that this will keep our habit alive when the warmer weather comes again, maybe with the temporary replacement of hot tea jugs with cool beer mugs.
Bonus: Jogging there and back home is a nice and short cool down exercise.
