It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s ASICS DynaFlyte, their fastest shoe yet! So, what exactly makes DynaFlyte different? Great question. We break down the technical terms for you here so when the shoe hits stores on July 1, you’ll be ready to buy and fly!
According to ASICS, FlyteFoam is the lightest cushioning material they’ve ever made. It took the team at their Institute of Sports Science (ISS) three years, with over 300 different prototypes, to perfect. Three years! Here’s a closer look at what they developed during that time to make their newest shoe so fast.
In short, the midsole is made up of reinforced fibers that bounce right back to their original shape after each run. That’s what they call “responsive cushioning.”
The cushioning technology mentioned above makes it seem like your feet are in flight. You’ll hardly feel them hit the ground.
FlyteFoam is the lightest material ASICS has ever made. In fact, a whole 55% lighter than the industry standard.
So, are you ready to fly? Be sure to join our ASICS DynaFlyte Challenge and track a 5K sometime between July 1 and July 15—if you hit a personal best pace, there’s a chance you could win a pair of your own!
