In between seasons, it’s hard to know what to wear. That’s why we put together this all-weather gear guide, which accounts for the fact that your body temp rises 10-20° during exercise—something most runners don’t think about.!
Under 20° F
It’s beyond cold. Protect your extremities with gloves and a beanie or headband. About 40% of body heat gets lost through the head so that hat is key.
Brrrrr. Bundle up in moisture-wicking base layers under a windbreaker. A loose top will help hold the warm air in.
When in doubt, layer. We suggest you wear pants and a light jacket. Also, sunglasses are a great addition for chilly, high glare days.
Getting warmer… mix and match long or short sleeves, tights, and capris. It’s important that the fabrics are breathable.
Ideal running weather. Sweat it out in short sleeve tech tees and shorts. If it’s sunny out, many styles offer SPF protection.
